Season 0 · the main event

The Heist

The whole farming loop is a heist game. Every staked fennec earns points, every day brings a role decision, and points left uncollected become part of Night City's risk. Tiers — the paid farm boosts — live right here too.

One closed 28-day season

Season 0 runs for exactly 28 days. Staking (locking your fox into the game so it can farm) is completely free, and points build up for every second your fox is staked.

Where the game is. The game client opens with Season 0: staking, roles, raids and your live score all live in one page you open with your wallet, and a public leaderboard shows every fox’s points and role. Until the season opens, this page is the rulebook.

Meet the foxes behind the rules

This page stays focused on how Season 0 plays. The separate illustrated lore follows the fennecs from the desert into Night City.

Stake free — rare farms faster

Every staked fox starts at 50% of its full farming speed for free. Paid tiers (rule 03 below) don't promise a fixed reward: they speed up how fast that one fox earns its share of the season's fixed prize pool. Season 0 tier upgrades cost only points you already farmed; future seasons use FENNEC instead.

Rarity only makes farming faster. It does not make stolen loot, raid protection or Trait Hunt prizes bigger. Each fox keeps its own score and its own tier — nothing is pooled across your wallet. Band I–VI is the fox’s own rarity (its skin and traits together); the COMMON · UNCOMMON · RARE · EPIC · LEGENDARY labels belong to individual traits in Trait Hunt and are a different scale. Shares are approximate: the bands are cut at the top 65 / 40 / 18 / 8% by rarity score, and exact counts are published together with the collection metadata. Every paid tier expires at the end of the season; a new season starts from the free base again.

Tiers: pay points, farm faster

A tier makes one fox farm faster. You buy it with points that fox already farmed — no ETH, no token, no card. Every staked fox starts free at 0.5×.

Tiers: pay points once, farm faster all season

TierFarming speedWhat it costsIn plain words

Tier 11.0×350 FPStandard paid tier.
Tier 21.85×+600 FP moreHigher earning rate.
Tier 32.7×+600 FP moreMaximum tier.

Example. A common fox farms about 50 points a day for free and about 100 a day on Tier 1. Whether it pays off is your call — do the math for your own fox.

Tiers end with Season 0

Every paid tier expires when the 28 days are over; the next season starts from free again.

Tiers stay with the fox

The upgrade lives on the fox itself (its own NFT). Sell the fox and the tier goes with it.

You spend real score

Points paid for a tier leave your season score immediately. The boost applies only to that fox for the rest of the current season, so the faster farm is how you earn the cost back. Every paid tier expires at season end.

Tier shop closes early

The tier shop is where you spend points on Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 for your fox. It stops selling before the season ends: Tier 1 can be bought until 7 days (168 hours) before the end, Tier 2 and Tier 3 until 170 hours before the end. Why: a tier bought in the last week could never farm back what it cost, so the game does not sell it. What it means for you: buy your upgrades in the first three weeks; in the final week you simply farm with the tier you already have.

What are FENNEC Points? Season 0 is played for FENNEC Points (FP). At the token launch the fixed Season 0 pool of 80,000,000 FENNEC is split by final scores — each player’s point total when the season ends. A tier speeds up your farming, so farming faster simply means a bigger slice of that same pool.

04

Choose what your fox does today

Every day, your fox takes a role. A role is fixed for 24 hours. Switching to a safer role never cleans points earned under a riskier one: every uncollected point remembers the role that produced it.

SafehouseKeep it quiet

Choose safety when you care more about protecting your position than taking risks.

Playstyle: defensive. Raids: no attacking.
StreetWork the city

The neutral route. Farm, build your position and stay available without committing to an offensive role.

Playstyle: balanced. Raids: no attacking.
RaiderGo after other foxes

Raider is the offensive role. When the raid window is open, Raiders can target other eligible foxes and try to steal from them.

Playstyle: high risk / offensive. Raids: can attack when raids are open.
Opening safety window The city doesn’t open with a knife fight

Raids are disabled during the opening safety window — the first 24 hours of Season 0, while no fox has any points older than a day. Use that time to get your fox ready, understand the economy and build your first position. When raids unlock, the Raider role becomes the offensive route into the heist economy. While raids are closed, the Raider role is locked in the game client: Raider locked — raids unlock after the opening safety window.

Raids open in: live countdown — shown in the game client when Season 0 starts

The numbers behind each role

RoleHow fast it farmsHow often raiders pick youIn plain words
Safehouse80% of normal~3× less often than StreetCareful: slower, rarely picked; half of idle points are at risk.
Street100%NormalDefault; idle points older than a day are at risk.
Raider75%; 0 during raids + loot1.5× more often than StreetGambler: farms less, can steal idle points; loot stays hot for 24h.

A role lasts 24 hours. Switching to Safehouse does not hide points you earned while on the Street — every idle point remembers the role it was farmed under.

Preliminary   Coefficients are still being tuned; the final table is published before Season 0 begins.

05

Idle loot can be stolen

Only the points you left uncollected for more than a day are ever at risk — the newest 24 hours of every fox's farm are always safe. Collect often and almost nothing is at risk; let a balance sit in the street and other players can attempt to take a slice of it.

For the curious: the exact math

Points at risk: L = max(uncollected points − the newest 24 hours, 0). A failed match costs nothing: if the system cannot find a target to raid, the entry fee is not charged.

A raid is a bet: the longer it runs, the bigger the prize and the higher the chance of getting caught

DurationVictim idle pointsCaughtSuccessMeaning
15 minutes5%18%82%Quick grab. Small prize, small risk of getting caught.
1 hour10%28%72%Short job.
4 hours15%38%62%Serious job — more at stake on both sides.
12 hours25%42.5%57.5%The big one. Not allowed in the last 12 hours of the season.

How to read this table. The “caught” number is the raider’s risk, taken straight from the frozen game rules. When the raid timer ends, the game draws a random number from 0 to 9,999; if it lands below the caught chance (18% = below 1,800), the raider is caught. The victim does nothing to trigger this. The “works” column is simply 100% minus that number — the raider’s best case, before any owner reaction. A manual reaction raises the caught chance (never above 75% in total). If the raider is caught: it takes nothing, its collateral is gone — 60% goes to the victim, 20% is burned, 20% goes to the treasury — and its next raid is locked for 96 hours instead of the usual 48.

What a raid costs the raider

To try, the raider pays an entry fee: 10% of what a Street fox farms in a day, plus 2% of the most it could steal. It also puts up collateral — half a day’s Street farm or 75% of the possible loot, whichever is bigger. Both are paid from the raider’s own collected points; stolen points can’t be used. If the raid fails, the collateral is lost: 60% goes to the victim, 20% is burned and 20% goes to treasury. If no target is found, nothing is charged.

What protects the victim

Only points idle for more than 24 hours can be touched — collect them and they are safe. The same fox can be attacked at most once a day and three times a week. Total losses are capped at 30% per week and 40% of everything the fox farmed all season. A Safehouse fox risks only half of its idle points. Targets are chosen at random, and the same two foxes are never matched twice in a row.

Stolen points are not safe either

Loot and collateral stay “hot” for 24 hours — other raiders can steal them back, up to 50% (the total risk on hot loot is capped at 60%). A raider can “launder” hot loot instantly for a fee of about 10%, which is burned. A caught raider sits out for 96 hours. The heat follows the fox, not the wallet — selling it doesn’t wash it off.

Fighting back

The owner can react by hand for up to +10 points more. The chance of catching a raider never goes above 75%. A raider gets one attempt every 48 hours, at most two a week and eight a season. When a raid succeeds: 80% of the loot goes to the raider, 10% to treasury, 10% is burned. How much a raider can earn from raids is capped at what it would normally farm on the Street, so two friends can’t trade points back and forth.

06

After the season: TGE & Season 1

When the 28-day clock ends, all raids finish before the final snapshot. The season closes, every fox's points are counted, and the game moves from points to real, live FENNEC tokens.

80%for points you farmed and kept (clean farming balance)
10%for playing: raids and daily roles
10%for staying staked to the day-7, 14, 21 and 28 milestones
Token launch (TGE)

Your season points decide how many FENNEC you receive (your allocation) — everyone converts points to tokens at the exact same rate. FENNEC will never total more than 200,000,000 coins (its hard cap); the Season 0 pool is 80,000,000 FENNEC (40% of supply), and your allocation unlocks in equal daily parts over 30 days after TGE. The conversion rate is set at the token launch.

Season 1

Free 50% base farming continues. FENNEC-paid tiers boost that season’s farming speed only, then expire at season end. Tier payments split three ways: 50% treasury, 25% destroyed forever, 25% into the project’s own trading pool.

Foxes live beyond S0

After TGE your fox keeps farming in Season 1 at the free base, and FENNEC-paid tiers make it faster. HoodFox holders get first priority in the Community Presale. Rolled traits become tradeable items, so a well-dressed fox is worth more than a bare one. Every future season starts from the same 5,555 foxes.
